Continuing their tour, DAEMONIA are appearing in concert on February the 1st, in Bologna (Italy) at TPO VIA LENIN 3.

What's more, it's one of the truly classic Hong Kong films, and does represent an
important screening in its own right. However, Four Flies has the advantage that it's
located in Britain - if I were to screen Black Magic 2 I would have to import it from
New Zealand, so it would certainly make my life easier to go for Four Flies! The FINAL
line-up for the fest will be confirmed by the end of this coming weekend.

I've been told that there was an article in Italian newspaper La Repubblica which had a short interview with Stefania Rocca.
"At the end of February I will start the shooting of Dario Argento's new film. It will be a thriller and entirely shot in Rome. I'm the main character."
Looks like the shooting will go ahead then. Great news.

I spoke to Alan Jones today and he tells me the PROFONDO ARGENTO book is finished but he's waiting for Dario to complete the new movie. Dario has said he will start shooting in March, it's already in pre-production. Alan doubts the shooting will start in March, but he should be going over later and I'm sure he will give us the details. Alan needs to add an extra chapter to the book covering the new movie before it is published, there's also a few things he wants to change.

According to the SGM website the Flesh & Blood Film Festival will be showing Dario Argento's FOUR FLIES ON GREY VELVET at the Cine Luminere on the weekend of 22/23 March in London. This could be a great opportunity to see this rare film on the big screen and meet other Argentophiles.

I have written to them to confirm any possible details regarding the showing of Four Flies, and to give me any more details of other films or special guests.

Argento releases update...
Hi, I posted this yesterday over at SGM and forwarded it onto Nick, but just in case you don't know yet here's my post from SGM on what's going down... Hold on to your hats...I was holding back on all this for the next update but one or two of these titbits have snuck out online so I thought seeing as it's xmas I'd give all you SGMer's the full lowdown on exactly what's coming your way... As many of you will know SGM have been working closely with Dragon Films on some forthcoming releases, mainly the Dario Argento ones...first up in January is their new 'Suspiria' three DVD set (to which we supplied a gorgeous Italian print and filmed a brand new giallo style music video), also out then is the new three disc 'Dance of the Demons' DVD set which will contain both Demons 1 & 2 and a disc full of new extra material! More excellent Argento special editions will follow soon after which we (SGM) have been busy helping with also...including 'Tenebre' and 'Profondo Rosso' (which we will be filming another blood soaked music video for soon) and we've just supplied Dragon with a print of (wait for it)... 'Four Flies on Grey Velvet' which will not only be getting it's worldwide DVD debut but will be yet another special edition release. The team here at SGM also put together an extensive interview with Dario that Dragon filmed last week over in Rome that will appear soon also. So now you know...spread the good word...we're very excited about these releases, especially as Vertigo/SGM's first music video is about to hit the streets (and at last folk can cringe at my dubious talents)...but please do make sure to credit SGM when spreading the word (as I know my announcement of 'Four Flies' will no doubt explode online amongst Argento's fans!) Asia Argento features on EuroTrash. The programme is shown on UK television's Channel 4 tonight at 22.35. This is the show LES MORSURES DE L'AUBE director, Antoine de Caunes presents.

The Arrow Films DVD release of TERROR AT THE OPERA, which has been delayed until next year, will include the Italian language track. This is great news and this is what many people have been waiting for, myself included. It will contain English and Italian subtitles.

Anchor Bay have let me know that there is a fault with initial copies of their recently released SUSPIRIA disc - an out of sync DTS soundtrack.

Asia Argento is in the latest issue of UK magazine THE FACE. It's still available priced at £2.90 at all good newsagents. There's a brief interview with Asia and seven photographs. THE FACE is a magazine on contemporary culture and comments upon emerging trends.

According to Arrow Films, the forthcoming UK DVD release of TERROR AT THE OPERA will be uncut. It shall be presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen with English and Italian subtitles.
This means it will hopefully contain the Italian soundtrack aswell.
